Our Church
St. Mary's is a congregation of about 150 families, located in Columbus, Ohio. It is a member of the Coptic Orthodox Church, which is among the earliest Christian churches, and was founded by St. Mark, the Apostle, in the first century. As an Orthodox Church, its statement of faith is the Nicene Creed, and it follows the traditions of the early church fathers, including Saints Athanasius, Cyril, and Basil. The Columbus Coptic Church was founded in 1988. The current Church building was built and previously used by a Baptist community and was purchased in October of 1992 with only twenty families in attendance.
